Debbie Drake - USING YOUR GIFT TO SERVE

When we think of serving God, we automatically think of church positions - Pastors, Sunday School Teachers, Missionaries. But how does one serve the Kingdom when God gives us a gift and a calling elsewhere – such as in art? Debbie can relate to the Drummer Boy in the Christmas Carol - “All I have to offer Him is the ‘Rat-a Tat-Tat’ of my drum.” How can God use my gift?

I Peter 4:10: Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

In this workshop, Debbie will walk you through her journey and process of discovering how to share the gift of art and creativity for God’s work. We will work together with hands-on projects exploring how ‘alternative’ gifts can be used to further God’s purpose here on earth.

Darren Lacroix - YOUR STORY – GOD’S GLORY

Sometimes we can think it’s challenging to tell people about Jesus, especially strangers. Keep it simple. Tell a story. Your story. Jesus used parables, why not you and me? You have a unique God story, that when well-told can truly help build God’s Kingdom. But how? What can you say? How can you tell your story in a compelling way? Hollywood movies are memorable. Your story can become more impactful with simple secrets from film. You can too. Someone needs to hear YOUR story, even if you’re are introvert. In 1992 Darren LaCroix bombed miserably in comedy in Boston, nine years later he out-spoke 25,000 contestants to become the World Champion of Public Speaking. The key to his transformation was telling better stories…and he loves telling his story for God’s glory. Darren has spoken in 44 International cities and teaches these techniques to Fortune 500 executives how to have more influence through unforgettable presentations.

Roxann Andersen – Meeting God in the Room of Grace

Do the same unacceptable scenarios keep replaying themselves in your life? One sure cure is allowing God to heal you on the inside. Genuine healing is what you can expect when you Meet God in the Room of Grace.

Roxann and husband Bob wrote the book The Marriage Dance: Moving Together as One. They have spoken and taught on Christian marriage for over 20 years and lead a marriage ministry at their church in Riverside, California. “Meeting God in the Room of Grace” is a deeper step that came out of those studies and can be used by anyone.

You will learn a simple method of pinpointing “triggers,” the devil’s lies, and the non-productive, self-defeating behaviors you implement to avoid pain. There is a better way: Learn to recognize God’s voice as He speaks directly to your heart. In Friday’s 2-hour intensive, you will learn an easy 5-step process for getting to the root of the problem-- and the root of the healing.
